Власти Вашингтона поженили 150 пар гомосексуалистовВторник стал первым днем выдачи свидетельств о регистрации браков между гомосексуалистами в округе Колумбия - столичные власти уже оформили около 150 "брачных лицензий".

Разрешение на однополые браки вступило в силу в Вашингтоне 3 марта, после чего округ пополнил список штатов, где подобное признается законом. Гомосексуалисты могут формально узаконить отношения в Нью-Гэмпшире, Коннектикуте, Вермонте, Массачусетсе и Айове.

"Во вторник были готовы свидетельства о браке для почти 150 пар, подавших заявления на регистрацию отношений в день объявления о легализации. Многие из них для этого отстояли тогда в очереди около четырех часов", - сказала журналистам представитель городского суда Лин Гуровиц.
